This Literature Review was commissioned as part of the ‘Why Indonesia matters in our schools: A rationale for Indonesian language learning in Australian education’ and prepared by Dr Michelle Kohler, Senior Research Fellow, Research Centre for Languages and Cultures, University of South Australia.

The rationale was developed by Asia Education Foundation, Asialink at The University of Melbourne with support from the Australia-Indonesia Institute, Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
